Free NFL Odds
When most folks look at free NFL odds on the different websites, they have no idea what they are looking for. They see teams, numbers, and symbols that don’t have a whole lot of meaning when put together. NFL game lines aren’t difficult to understand, though. In face, with a little bit of knowledge, you can know exactly what you are looking at when you see free NFL odds listed.
There are three different numbers that you might see beside the different free NFL odds. The first number that you will see is the game spread. This number will likely be between 3 points and 20 points, although it could ideally be any number. This is the number that will indicate how much of a favorite one team is as opposed to another team. For example, if the free NFL odds for the Dolphins are listed at -6 points over the Vikings, the Dolphins would have to win by 7 points or more in order for you to cash a winner. In that same case, the free NFL odds for the Vikings would read +6, meaning that the Vikes would need to keep the game within 5 points in order to make a winner.
Another number that will likely be listed alongside the free NFL odds is the money line for the game. This is the way that you can bet on the outcome of the game rather than the spread. For the novice gambler, this can be somewhat confusing. A number with a negative sign (i.e. Miami -200) would indicate the fact that $200 must be laid in order to win $100 on the Dolphins. Conversely, a positive sign (i.e. Minnesota +180) would indicate the underdog and $180 can be won for each $100 bet.
If you don’t have a good grasp on any of the sides that you see in the free NFL odds, then you might try betting on the total score. The over/under number should be listed with the free NFL odds alongside the game spread and money line. With this option, you can test out your ability to predict the total number of points scored in a game. You will be able to choose whether the score will be greater than the number provided or less than that number.
